How does the LT-200 Lift Truck Scale Work?

The Walz LT-200 Forklift Scale runs off a pressure sensor that is teed into the main hydraulic line of the lifting mast. To correctly capture the weight, operator must raise the forklift about 5 feet off the ground and hold that position for about 2-3 seconds. The scale will then tell the operator to lower the scale to position #2, about a foot below, and hold for about 2-3 seconds, at this point the weight will be captured. However, there is also an option to add a proximity switch. With this option, the operator just needs to lift the load past the proximity switch and the weight is automatically captured.

Yes, the LT-200 Lift Truck Scale system will fit ANY forklift, farm tractor, or skid steer.

What is the accuracy of the LT-200 Lift Truck Scale?

Accepted Answer

With normal and correct scale operation and a well maintained hydraulic line on the forklift, the LT-200 Lift Truck scale will be 97% accurate with weights above 500 lbs. If operator is continually trying to weigh with less than 500 lbs, the LT-200 Scale is not recommended. In this situation the LT-300 Lift Truck Scale would be the correct scale. With the proximity switch option added, operator should see around 98% accuracy as the weights are captured in the same position every time.

Are there any options that can be added to the LT-200?

Yes, the Walz LT-200 will support the KT-40 Printer, Proximity Switch for more accurate and faster weighing, and the recommended hydraulic fitting kit for ease of installation. There is also an option to upgrade to the LT-300 Lift Truck Scale indicator which will allow for master data entry, transactional history, data download, or sending data to a remote printer or PLC.

Yes, anyone (customer, dealer, scale company) can install the LT-200 Lift Truck scale. The scale is shipped with a printed manual and there is an installation video on the Walz Scale YouTube Channel to follow along with. Walz Scale also offers on-site turnkey installations.
