What is the difference between ProDec DSL and DSLS?

DSL configurations use powder-coated mild-steel construction for general industrial service. DSLS configurations use 304 stainless construction, including hermetically sealed stainless Weigh Bars, for washdown and corrosive environments.

Can ProDec be used for legal-for-trade weighing?

Yes. Approved ProDec configurations meet or exceed NTEP Class III 5,000-division accuracy. The complete system must use compatible approved instrumentation and be installed and calibrated correctly.

Can ramps be added to the platform?

Yes. Compatible ramps are available for supported platform widths and capacities, and they can be arranged to improve loading flow from one or more directions.

Can the scale be installed flush with the floor?

Yes. Compatible pit frames are available for supported DSL and DSLS configurations when a flush-floor installation is preferred.

How is the junction box serviced?

The junction box is protected within the deck structure while remaining accessible for service. Stainless DSLS designs use side access to reduce places where food or debris can collect.

Which ProDec construction is best for washdown areas?

Choose a DSLS stainless configuration for regular washdown, food production, chemical handling, or corrosive conditions. DSL mild-steel models are intended for general industrial environments.
